Colorado River Compact

Agua e infraestructura hidráulica · Cuencas transfronterizas · Tratados interestatales · Asignación de agua

Representatives of the basin states and the U.S. federal government signed the Colorado River Compact on 24 November 1922. It divided the basin into upper and lower sections, leaving later allocations within each. It is a milestone in interstate allocation and a legal foundation for later works; it is not, by itself, a complete allocation, a guarantee of stable hydrology, or evidence of equal power among all peoples connected to the river.
