Angkor’s hydraulic landscape
Agua e infraestructura hidráulica · Canales · Paisajes urbanos · Mantenimiento
Angkor’s reservoirs, canals, and dikes formed part of a large urban and agricultural landscape. Archaeology shows repairs and changes over time; the infrastructure should therefore be understood as a maintained and vulnerable system, not a stable machine that by itself explains the city’s rise or decline.
