Furūsiyya treatises and cavalry training
War & military technology · Caballería · Entrenamiento militar · Textos militares · Doctrina
*Furūsiyya* literature gathered knowledge of horsemanship, horse care, blacksmithing, arms, archery, lance and sword work, and mounted exercises; early treatises were reused and expanded in Seljuk and Mamluk settings. It functioned as a repertoire of training, expertise, and courtly values for particular corps and elites, not as one code or rules applied identically to all Islamic armies.
