Neolithic obsidian exchange between Anatolia, the Aegean, and the Balkans
Trade & global routes · Obsidiana · Arqueología del intercambio · Movilidad
Obsidian characterization makes it possible to trace links among communities in western Anatolia, the Aegean, and the Balkans from the late seventh to the mid-fifth millennium BCE. The distribution of an identifiable raw material demonstrates mobility and interregional exchange, but does not by itself reveal who carried each piece, whether markets existed, or uniform political and social relations.
