Uruk: large-scale city
Población, migración y ciudades · Urbanization · Ciudades tempranas · Estimación demográfica
During the Uruk period, the settlement grew to several square kilometres and reached estimates of roughly 25,000–80,000 inhabitants. It is widely, though not unanimously, considered an early city in the full sense; the interval reflects different methods of reconstructing area and density, not a census.
