Late Bronze Age settlement abandonment

Población, migración y ciudades · Despoblación · Abandono de asentamientos · Edad del Bronce

Archaeological studies document abandonment of numerous settlements in mainland Greece, Anatolia, and the Levant within a few decades. Causes and the exact scale of regional depopulation remain debated: displacement, mortality, and fragmentation into smaller settlements are hypotheses that should not be reduced to one cause.
