Jericho: documented early continuous occupation
Población, migración y ciudades · Ocupación continua · Asentamientos · Neolítico
Archaeological layers at Tell es-Sultan document occupation from about 9600 BCE. It is among the best-documented candidates for very early continuous human settlement; calling its earliest, probably few-hundred-person phases a “city” would be anachronistic.
