Composition of the Siete Partidas
Law & constitutions · Codificación, pluralidad jurídica y monarquía
Under Alfonso X, the Libro de las Leyes, later called the Siete Partidas, was composed between 1256 and 1265. The compilation sought greater coherence in Castilian law and had a long reception, but effective application consolidated gradually and coexisted with fueros and other norms.
