1919 AD
Winnipeg General Strike
Trabajo y organización laboral · Huelga general · Negociación colectiva
In Winnipeg, tens of thousands of workers stopped work in May 1919 in a conflict over collective bargaining and postwar conditions. The state response included arrests and violence; the strike left an important political memory without by itself resolving labour representation or inequality in Canada’s economy.
