Global Malaria Eradication Programme

Epidemics & public health · Paludismo · Control vectorial · Programas de erradicación

WHO launched a malaria-eradication programme in 1955, drawing on available insecticides and medicines. It achieved reductions and eliminations in some places but did not reach worldwide eradication; resistance, local conditions, and continuity of services limited the programme, and in 1969 strategy was reoriented toward control.
