Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer

Climate & environment · Ozono estratosférico · Derecho ambiental · Monitoreo · Cooperación internacional

Governments adopted the Vienna Convention in 1985; it entered into force in 1988 as a framework for research, systematic observation, information exchange, and cooperation on ozone depletion. It did not yet set the production and consumption controls later established by the Montreal Protocol, so the framework agreement should be distinguished from subsequent measures.
