Climate & environment · Cambio climático · Derecho ambiental · Cooperación internacional · Gobernanza ambiental
At the 1992 Rio Earth Summit, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change was opened for signature. The Convention recognized climate as a shared resource and created a framework for intergovernmental efforts; its commitments, mechanisms, and results were developed through later negotiations and decisions, not in the act of opening it for signature.
