Quaternary glacial–interglacial cycles
Climate & environment · Paleoclima · Glaciaciones · Proxies climáticos
Since the beginning of the Quaternary, about 2.58 million years ago, archives such as ice cores, marine sediments, and glacial landforms record cycles of ice ages and interglacial climates. Their expression was not identical in every region and reflects interactions among orbital forcings, greenhouse gases, oceans, ice, and feedbacks.
