Glasgow Climate Pact

COP26 adopted the Glasgow Climate Pact in 2021. The package called for strengthened emissions cuts, adaptation, finance, and transparency, and for the first time in a COP decision called for the phasedown of unabated coal power and inefficient fossil-fuel subsidies. These are calls and decisions in a process among Parties; they do not by themselves amount to national implementation or verified outcomes.
